More JP Beat Failures. Coming this week…

You now have access to some of the best studio drummers in the business. Professional drummers playing great beats recorded with today’s sonic standards. I wish you great prosperity.

You have my solemn oath that next year I will have a new Christmas song. This is from three years ago. Good tidings to all.

I can’t remember if I posted this before or not. I think not. Anyways, Michael Sterling put out this tune in 1983, but then again in like 1990 or something. Another thing I can’t remember. I must say, I kind of like the later version better. I think this version is only available on Amazon. Anyways, he served some time because his girlfriend wanted some expensive things. And he stole them.

A ‘Welcome’ era outtake that was my tribute to the black sheep of the disco world, Gary Davis. Well, I guess it’s not a tribute because Gary is alive and more than well. In fact, he makes awesome vampire martial arts films now.

Not sure if people realized, but there was a time when Gary Davis left his mark on female-fronted Miami bass records. He even gets a shout-out at the two minute mark.

I’m confused by this one, because it is definitely from a West Coast rap cassette, but it is by a group called ‘781’ which is a Boston area code. Mixed messages. The flute line is beyond good.
